The ever-increasing cost of polymers has forced manufactures to recover production scrap and waste from their own production.

We offer a comprehensive service to our customer, processing their material and returning it to them as a polymer that they can re-introduce into their manufacturing process.

This service has become more and more popular as polymer prices increase, and is a area in which manufactures can save considerable cost we have over the years gained great experience in this processing and now process various polymers in this way.

This service can include one or more of the following processes

Shredding and / or Granulation

We have the ability to shred and/or granulate large volumes of plastic.

The shredders we have installed in our factory will accept lump plastic of up to 200kg with ease.

We have recently installed a large capacity shredder with both drum magnet and an eddy current separation unit to remove both ferrous and non-ferrous material from regrinds feedstock. This proves to be especially suited to removing `inserts` from injection moulded parts and ensuring the removal of all metal for the finished products.

All material that enters our plant passes over magnets and through an “all metal” metal detector, which ensures that any ferrous or non-ferrous metal is removed. Depending upon the requirements, the material supplied can be either granulated or if metal contamination or purge lump were to be processed we would pre-shred before granulation. Once through this process the granulated toll work can returned to you for re-use if suitable or we can process the material further.

Reprocessing

Our reprocessing plant is capable of producing a very high quality “pellet” plastic material that goes through our plant. It is treated by passing though filters removing all forms of contamination such as paper, wood, metal and moisture. This process creates a clean dust free, easy flowing material, which produces a high quality uniform product, and is in its recycled pellet form is the same as a virgin polymer, assuming your production process can use these materials every £ you save by using this material is pure profit!!!

Blending

During the reprocessing process the material is blended to create a uniform finished product, however further blending bulk batches is possible should it be required as is blending virgin and reprocessed materials to whatever specification you require. Our blending equipment is high quality, high capacity and capable of drawing up to one ton of material in approximately three minutes. Comfortably blending in excess of 50 tons a day.

Packaging

We can package reprocessed / recycled materials into either Big bags or Octi bins for onward delivery to you, to suit your existing handling process and complete the closed loop recycling process.
